AGRIBERRY FARM

Agriberry Farm covers 10 hectares, 8 of which are cultivated with blueberries, and is located in Dambovita County, north of Bucharest, approximately 90 km. Founded in 2013 with 50% financing from European funds, it continues to produce 2 varieties of cultivated blueberries:
Legacy – 4 hectares, round, sweet, large, mid-season variety
Elliott – 4 hectares, smaller, more sour, late-season variety

THE BLUEBERRIES

Blueberry Plant Distribution

From East to West, there are 36,000 blueberry plants, which means around 4,500 plants/hectare. The plants are disposed in 8 sectors, 250 rows in total. The rows and sectors are numbered and indicated by signs, as the rest of the facilities around the farm. All indications are presented in an orderly, intuitive and easy to follow manner in order to guide both workers and visitors.

The variable temperatures and other possible natural phenomena permanently engage the team in vigilant observation, professional care, and sometimes renewal of certain plants.

EQUIPMENT & FACILITIES

The maintenance works in the plantation are achieved with the support of :
- 4 permanent employees and a variable number of part-time seasonal workers
- A set of machines and convenient agriculture technology: tractors, sprinkle pumps, sprayers, plant waste shredders, mulchers, electric manual cutters, utility vehicles and so on.
