The AGRIBERRY farm is located in a natural environment, on the sub-Carpathian hills in the Dambovita area, approximately 90 km north of Bucharest, at an altitude of 650 in a forested area, with a soil acidity of pH 3.5 -5.

BLUEBERRIES VARIETY

From the beginning, for health, marketing and sales strategy reasons, it was decided to grow two varieties of blueberries. The chosen varieties are healthy, tasty, attractive, hardy, marketable. Legacy – 4 hectares, round, sweet, large, mid-season variety Elliott – 4 hectares, smaller, sour, late-season variety

INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION

Agriberry acquired the GLOBAL G.A.P. standard and annually renews its certificate via thorough control, evaluation and paperwork. This certifies farm’s good standards for agricultural practices, sustainability and food safety. Agriberry also acquired the GRASP standard which specifically demonstrates farm's commitment to good employment practices, health, safety, and a positive working environment, which is a considerable quality concern of buyers and retailers all over the world.

WAREHOUSING AND STORAGE

Our blueberry farm has modern logistics facilities for temperature-controlled storage and handling so that we can deliver fresh the next day during the harvest season.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR

Agriberry is a small but well-established blueberry farm in Dâmbovița County, one of the first modern plantations in the area. It has GLOBAL G.A.P. and GRASP annually updated certifications, does not use synthetic pesticides, and tries to work in synergy with nature as much as possible. The Agriberry team have plans for direct business collaborations, crop diversification and expansion, association building, networking and internationalization.

STRONG PARTNERSHIPS

Agriberry’s expansion perspective and partnership building strategy is four-sector targeted : - direct and honest collaborations, especially with Western European partners, like Italy for instance, who might be interested in developing a business-to-business blueberry cooperation and building strong partnerships in agriculture - direct trade with planting material and agriculture machinery - provision of know-how, mentoring and on-land technical support to farmers - EU-funded projects cooperation and networking in the field of agriculture

IMPROVED LOGISTICS

At present, Agriberry team works with intermediaries that upload, transport and deliver fresh blueberries on the external and internal markets in perfect conditions. The fruit are thus delivered the same day they are picked to supermarkets around the country (Lidl, Carrefour, Mega Image), wholesale markets, pastry shops and artisan cafeterias. A further competitive asset consists in the controlled-temperature farm truck ready any time for hauling, as well as the cold storage facility, both farm’s property and always available. This may ensure direct fruit delivery, locally and abroad, provided that direct business interest arises. Please contact us anytime.

INTERNATIONAL CONTACTS

Agriberry intends to build trade relationships with European counterparts in the field of agriculture with a view to buying agricultural equipment and planting material, direct trade, and association cooperation. The company regularly present in agriculture fairs around Europe and is open to discussions and further development.

In the 12 years of farm activity, we have delivered over 1,000,000 kg of blueberries of the two cultivated varieties to the EU.

Sustainable agriculture achieved through an efficient irrigation system, preserving grass areas to protect biodiversity, natural pest control and the use of natural fertilizers and maintaining the natural pH of the soil.
